A paedophile was snared with dozens of child sex abuse images – including babies being raped.

Jamie Sharp, 39, had the stash hidden on gadgets he shared with his partner at their home.

The beast already has a conviction for hoarding vile pictures and videos of youngsters being abused.

Sharp – who was found hiding out at a caravan park after cops raided his home – admitted possessing and taking or permitting the images to be taken.

Prosecutor Fiona Holligan told how online searches for ‘young real schoolgirls flashing in uniform’ and ‘pre-teens’ were found on his devices.

She said: “Police attended in plainclothes and were afforded access by the accused’s partner.

“It was established that the accused was within.

“A systematic search of the property was conducted and items were seized.

“Indecent images of children were recovered from items attributed to the accused and his partner.

“There were also several logs of chat which suggested the user had an extreme sexual interest in children.”

Cyber crime teams recovered 53 abuse photographs and clips after the raid on the family home in Johnstone’s High Street.

Officers confiscated a computer, laptop, pen drive and mobile phone during the search in July 2016.

Sharp fled from his home after the haul was uncovered.

Police visited to arrest him but found him gone.

They tracked him down to the Sandylands Caravan Park in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, after they phoned his partner and she admitted where they were.

Members of the public were warned about the content of the files before they were described in court.

They included months- old babies being brutalised beside piles of nappies and young girls being bound and tortured.

At Paisley Sheriff Court defence lawyer Mark Chambers asked for his client to be bailed to look after his sickly mother.

He said: “His mum is elderly and she was recently injured in a fall.

“He cares for her on a regular basis.”

Sharp had previously been convicted of offences related to child sex abuse images at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

But he was released on probation.

Sheriff Colin Pettigrew warned the fiend he faces being locked up when he is hauled back for sentencing.

He said: “These are serious charges.

“They are all the more serious because you have a previous conviction for an analogous offences.

“The fact you are getting bail does not preclude that custody is not one of the options I am seriously considering.”

Sharp, who was supported by a woman during the hearing, has been ordered to return to court on July 17.
