REV UP FOR ERSKINE
The sun brought out the crowds to a top charity event.
The Erskine Motorbike Meet saw almost 700 bikers converge on the Armed Forces veterans charity in spectacular style.
The hugely popular event saw a parade of bikes converge on the Erskine home, where they were welcomed by the Balaklava Pipes and Drums.
The popular Rockus Choir, from Paisley, also entertained the crowd, as did the Kinks Experience.
There was good- natured banter too in the Erskine Veterans vs Biker Boccia bowls competition, and this was followed by a demo by the fantastic Tora Martial Arts.
There was also a chance for people to take time out at the Garden of Reflection.
This green space offers a beautiful place for residents – their families, visitors, staff and the wider community to enjoy spending time.
Erskine volunteer Heather Clissett, who organised the event, said: “Thank you to everyone who attended Erskine Motorbike Meet 2018 for making it such a fantastic day, showing support to the veterans of Erskine.
“We were very fortunate to have great support from Paisley Sea Cadets, Erskine Music Media Studios and Police Scotland Youth Volunteers in this Year Of Young People.
“Renfrewshire Council, Police Scotland and the communities of Erskine and Bishopton are always so welcoming to their once a year visitors. It’s very much appreciated.
“We hope everyone who attended had a great day.”
