All to play for as leagues enter business end of the season

-

maintain their unbeaten season after an thumping 8- 1 win at Railway Inn.

However, Pickwicks will not give up their title chase just yet as they too won their home game against Keystone A by the same scoreline.

St Peter’s remain in third place after they kept up their winning run with a victorious 6-3 result over Flying Horse A.

That result means that the top three in the table cannot be caught.

Court Bar stay at the front of the chasing pack for fourth spot – but only by leg difference as they travelled to Pockets Red and came home with two points.

They are joined on the same points by Burgh Bar after a worthy 7- 2 win at Gleniffer Hotel but as Burgh are worse off by seven legs, Court Bar remain in pole position.

There was a relegation battle involving Hagg Bar C and Arthurlie Inns. And it was Hagg Bar C who were successful in a close game that ended 5-4 in their favour.

The result puts Arthurlie, Hagg Bar C and Railway Inn all on the same points, with only leg difference separating them now.

With two of the teams facing relegation to the Second Division, leg difference could be crucial.

There were 10 maximums scored this week, with Dean Fitch of Pickwicks scoring two.

The fastest games of the week came from Graham Morrison, also from Pickwicks, and David Park of Pockets Red, who both finished games in 15 darts.

The highest finish of the week came from Court Bar with John Barclay Snr finishing off one of his games with a 127.

The only player to feature in all three highlights was George Dickson of Hagg Bar C as he helped his team to victory.

Next week the sides contest the finals of both First and Second Division singles tournaments with each one now down to the last 16. First Division finals will take place in Railway Inn while Second Division players will face off in Pockets.

All three teams share the same points total but leg difference is proving crucial
