Yob headbutted victim in street rammy

-

A thug headbutted a man in the middle of the street.

Liam Morrow, 20, lunged at Ashley Pugh and hit him so hard he collapsed.

He admitted assault when he was hauled into Paisley Sheriff Court.

Sheriff David Pender warned he faces jail because the attack followed a conviction for a separate offence.

He said:“In view of the fact you were on a community payback order, I am going to adjourn the case for four weeks.

“I will ask for an updated criminal justice social work report.”

Morrow attacked Mr Pugh in Old Sneddon Street, Paisley, on December 16.

The yob was previously rapped after he called a cop a bitch after officers were called to break-up a rowdy party.

Morrow spent a night in a cell after he ranted a police at the bash in Barrhead’s Stormyland Way in January last year.

Prosecutor Maureen McGovern told how the yob mouthed-off after being ordered to keep quiet at a hearing months later.

She said:“Somebody shopped him into the police.

“His fit of anger continued and reached the level of aggression with witnesses having to restrain him.

“Police requested he desist, but he continued and that resulted in his arrest.”

Morrow, of Newton Avenue, Barrhead, was ordered to return to court on July 2.
