Shug himself was diagnosed with a heart condition some years ago and decided to raise awareness after receiving care that saved him from a life-threatening condition.

He said: “It is a great event which has helped the British Heart Foundation revolutionise the way heart disease is treated today. My mission in organising this event is to help win the fight against cardiovascular disease so that we are better informed and understand what it is and what can be done.”

Finally I would like to thank Michelle Purdon of The Anchor for supporting live music in Paisley over the years. She has done a great job and has is well respected for all that she has done.
