Pooches charity

A fun day will be held at Pets At Home Linwood on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.

Cash will be raised for Royalheart Greyhound Rescue on the day.

The Royalheart charity was set up in 2009 by retired couple Eddie Cassie and Rachel Anderson, who are based at the Finlaystone Estate. It has 12 kennels for dogs who have been rescued from tragic situations.

On Sunday, there will be home baking, an appearance by pooches Diva and Abba, who appeared on TV’s Judge Rinder.

There will be a motortrike there for rides, you can have your pet’s portrait taken by a photographer and there will also be face painting.

A spokeswoman for Royalheart said: “Pets At Home has been a great support to us in recent months and we appreciated their continued help.

“Everyone is welcome to come along on Sunday, meet some of the dogs, have their face painted and really make a difference to the lives of animals who have been abandoned or treated poorly.”
