Furniture firm tops with staff

Furniture retailer DFS has been hailed one of the best companies to work for in Scotland.

The firm was voted sixth for satisfaction in the country and runs a superstore in Paisley.

It employs 21 at the outlet at the Abbotsinch Retail Park – the company’s first north of the border.

Jonathan Sewell, retail director for DFS, says cracking the top 10 is a “fantastic achievement”.

Staff at the Renfrew Road shop are given extensive training, including managers who take on a development course lasting up to 18 months.

DFS is one of the UK’s biggest furniture manufacturers and opened in the town in 2000.
