A bully shoved a mum and tried to get at her 13-yearold daughter after calling her a “piece of s**t”.

Neil Vessey, 40, lashed out at the pair after tempers flared during a row at his home.

Police were called before he ranted: “Are you happy with this, you f*****g bitch?”

At Paisley Sheriff Court, Vessey admitted acting in an abusive and threatening manner.

Prosecutor Colin Wilson told how he bawled at the teen then her mother when she tried to stand in his way.

He said: “The accused continued swearing, shouting, ‘f**k off’.

“The girl and her mum made their way downstairs.

“He continued to swear at them, telling them to ‘get the f*** out’ of his house.

“He started to shout at the girl that she was ‘a piece of s**t’ and made attempts to get at her by pushing her mum, who was in front of him.”

Vessey began railing at the youngster at his cottage in Houston.

Her mother ran to help after hearing him sound-off on April 13.

She tried to protect the girl by putting herself in the way, but was forced to call police for help.

Officers arrived at the house in Houston Road and he told the woman: “Are you happy with this, you f*****g bitch? I’ll probably lose my kids.”

The court heard the dad- oftwo had recently split from the mother of his children, aged eight and 11.

Defence lawyer Rhona Lynch insisted he kicked-off during a “stress-related outburst”.

She said: “He was at a very low ebb.

“He spent a very unpleasant three days in police custody.”

Sheriff Kevin Duffy warned the brute to shape-up or face a stern punishment.

He said: “This was an unpleasant incident.

“I’m going to give you the opportunity to show this is out of character.”

Vessey was ordered to behave for six months and return for sentencing in December.
