HOLY TRINITY & ST

A warm welcome to Holy Trinity and St Barnabas’ Church, opposite the sheriff court and across from the Gilmour Street rail station in Paisley.

We are a member of the Scottish Episcopal Church and a part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

On Sunday, June 24, we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Pentecost with our Eucharist at 10am. Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ.

Some Christians believe that this event represents the birth of the church.

All people are welcome to worship with us, and if you are baptised in any denomination, you are most welcome to take Communion with us as well.

We invite you to join us after our services at our coffee time and enjoy a hot drink and a sausage roll or a biscuit or two.

On Wednesday, June 27, at 10.30am our mid-week Communion Service commemorates Alexander Jolly. He was born in Stonehaven and became a priest in the Scottish Episcopal Church, rising to become Bishop of Moray although he continued to discharge the duties of an ordinary pastor in Fraserburgh.

Bishop Jolly died in Fraserburgh in 1838 and was buried beside his brother, James, in Turriff churchyard.

On Wednesday and Friday evenings every week of the year at 7pm, the St Vincent de Paul Society Ozanam Centre provides free hot meals, to all who show up, in our church hall. No registration or pre-booking is required.

On Thursdays, from 10.30am till 3.30pm the Cornerstone Drop-in Centre is open in our hall. All are welcome to come in, have a warm drink and at lunch hour a light, hot meal is also served.
