All singing, al

- Alison Rennie

Pupils sang their socks off as they celebrated the end of the school year with a special show.

The children from Fordbank Primary in Johnstone performed the Fordbank Jukebox with each school year performing songs from a different musical genre.

Primary seven children took on pop while P6 did rock, P5 tackled reggae and P4 celebrated disco.

The children in primary three and the primary two/ three class performed country while the primary one and two children sang some songs from Mary Poppins to celebrate musical theatre.

The whole school then came together to perform This is Me from The Greatest Showman at the end and headteacher Carol McCormick said the song reflected the ideals of the school.

She said: “We are all about developing unique, individual who are confident and proud to say this is me.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to all the children for their enthusiasm to make the show a great success.

“All the staff had a great time and worked really hard behind the scenes.

“The show was very well received, there were lots of happy smiles on everyone’s faces afterwards.

“We’d like to wish everybody a happy summer holiday.”
