Arthurlie promise they’ll hit the ground running
Club chiefs promise they are plotting way back to Premiership
Arthurlie chiefs have moved to allay fears that the club will be left behind in the transfer market.
The Barrhead side are currently going through a transitional period following the appointment of new manager Duncan Sinclar to replace Billy Ogilvie.
Arthurlie are currently preparing for life in the Super First Division having suffered relegation, with a host of firstteam players having left in recent weeks.
The likes of Marc McKenzie and Mark Blakey are among the departures, with more expected to follow.
However, club bosses insist they are working hard behind the scenes in a bid to get the side back on track next season.
A club spokesman said: “The club’s committee has noted some discontent from some quarters regarding the lack of forthcoming information in the past week.
“We understand that the supporters are desperate to hear positive news from Dunterlie as we look to plot a way back to the Premiership.
“Everyone at the club is working towards providing that in the coming weeks.
“It goes without saying that the club’s recruitment plan started later than would normally have been anticipated, but rest assured that Duncan Sinclair and his management team have been working tirelessly as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion in the new campaign.
“This includes discussions with players currently under contract and potential new signings.
“As has always been the club’s policy, even if players have agreed and signed paperwork, we will not announce this until the needed paperwork has been completed, lodged and approved by the SFA.
“It is anticipated that up to date squad information will be able to be announced in the coming week.
“We thank you for your patience and understanding, while the new manager builds his squad ahead of the new campaign.”
