Lynn added: “As well as our podium prizes, we had several other individual and team prizes to be won. I am delighted to report that in total 11 visiting clubs went away from Paisley bearing prizes.

“Our generosity was made possible by the invaluable support of our sponsors, so I would like to thank Morrisons, Rouken Glen Garden Centre, Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd, Keystore, Glynhill Hotel, Complete Contracts, Thomas A Moran, Thomas Colquhoun & Sons, Advanced Financial Strategies, J Bruce Andrew and Co, Mr and Mrs G Barbour, and our own professionals Andy Carlton and Clare- Marie Macaulay.

“I would also like to thank our head greenkeeper and his team for all their hard work which resulted in our course looking and playing as well as it did .”

Warmth and generosity was also shown on the day to representatives from the Beatson Cancer Charity.

Said Lynn: “This year, our much- loved annual charity tombola was in aid of the Beatson.

“Display material and literature on the charity was available and we had many branded items to sell.

“We hope to have a total for the monies raised soon but I am assured that everyone was mostgenerous on the day to this very worthy cause.”
