Get away from it all among the rolling hills of Howwood.

That’s where you will find High Burnside, which the agents describe as an elegant, traditional lodge house, that is surrounded by mature and wellpresented private grounds with a variety of mature trees, shrubbery and lawn.

Added to that are fine views over the garden towards the distant hills of West Dunbartonshire.

There are two separate areas of field/paddock and an outdoor riding arena. The total grounds extend to approximately nine acres. An extremely attractive house, High Burnside dates from the 17th century and was designed as a hunting lodge.

Since then there has been a sympathetic programme of modernisation, producing an elegant period home with a stylish modern interior, according to the agents.

The kitchen has been upgraded and modernised in a traditional style, with a central island and a Range-style cooker.

The family room has a fireplace and windows overlooking the front garden.

The agents say the drawing room is a stunning apartment, with exposed timber beam work and a feature fire surround as the focal point of the room.
