Weather can’t stop the gala fun
Despite the drizzly Sunday weather families from across Renfrewshire rallied together to enjoy some fun at the annual Glenburn Gala Day.
Kids, parents, and friends took advantage of an afternoon of free activities at the weekend event, hosted by Stronger Communities.
The day kicked off with a foam run at Glenburn Community Centre and the fun continued all day with a fantastic array of activities including craft stalls, facepainting, inflatables and a funfair.
Laura Devine, Stronger Communities manager, said there was a brilliant atmosphere at the event.
She told the Paisley Daily Express: “The event wouldn’t have been possible without the community champions who organised and ran the event.
“Also, a big thank you to Go Zone who provided arts and crafts, and to all the business who took a stall and to the families who came along and created such a great atmosphere.”
Stronger Communities was launched in Glenburn three years, working to empower families to improve their communities.
The event raised over £250 to fund more low-cost activities for families in the area.
