Paisley’s West College Scotland is to showcase a selection of Glasgow’s leading profession­als in hairdressi­ng, barbering, beauty and makeup.

The event, which takes place on Monday, August 20, at the city’s Drygate Brewery from 11am to 7pm, will include masterclas­s demos, pop-up shops and treatment bars from a wide range of industry profession­als.

Karen Stevenson, head of sector for hairdressi­ng, beauty and make-up artistry, said: “Within West College Scotland, the sector is redesignin­g its curriculum.

“The venture is called Rip It Up And Start Again.

“This is a truly unique event – one in which Further Education is coming together with top icons of industry.

“The public, students and school pupils will get the opportunit­y to see and hear from the very best.”

Cre at i v e E x p o s u re visitors will be able to try new products, one- to- one consultati­ons and stock up for their businesses at discounted rates from our award- winning industry partners’ pop up shops.

Karen added: “We are open to change.

“We want to hear what our industry needs from us to help shape the workforce of the future.

“We want to hear how our students want to learn, when they want to learn, and make it work for them.

“This is an exciting time for us, a chance to shape the future of learning.”
