There’s no stopping Tartan Rose’s Izzy

The ladies of the Paisley and District Darts League were also in action as Izzy Irvine took the glory.

Eight darts aces battled it out alongside the men to find out who would be crowned their own Champion of Champions.

The Ladies Singles first game was between Hagg Bar C player Karen Shand and defending champion Laura Grant of Pockets Red. And it was the defending champion that took the tie 2-0 to progress to the semi-finals.

In the next game it was Kellyann McKinnon of Court Bar B against Cafuffals’Grace Belvin and McKinnon proved too strong a player as she too went through with a 2-0 scoreline.

Court Bar B’s Mary McKinnon put paid to the ambitions of Burgh Bar’s Helen Elder after another 2-0 win.

And the last of the games had Tartan Rose’s Izzy Irvine play St Peter’s Sandra Callary and this too ended up as a 2-0 result in favour of Irvine with a 180 thrown in on the first leg just for good measure.

In the first of the semi-finals Kellyann McKinnon proved too strong when she played Grant for the first of the places in the final as she swept past her with another 2-0 win.

In the second semi Mary McKinnon was trying to make the final a family affair but Irvine had other ideas and took the tie with a 2-1 win.

The final saw Irvine keep up the consistency she had shown all night as she took the title after a thrilling game ended up 3-1 in her favour.
