Elderslie crowned winners
Elderslie have clinched the Paisley and District Championship for the second year running in emphatic style.
The champions were dominant from start to finish as they recorded a superb 12-4 win away to Barrhead to confirm top spot as their own.
Elderslie had been in a battle with Caledonia for the title but haven’t looked back since reclaiming top spot three weeks ago.
Caledonia took the title right down to the wire, seeing off Blacklandmill 10-6 in their final outing – but it just wasn’t enough.
A 12-4 win over Renfrew was enough for Anchor to secure third spot in the table as they leapfrogged Blacklandmill.
Kilbarchan ended the season in style as they made light work of Wellmeadow thanks to a 14- 2 scoreline, while Meikleriggs eased past Linwood following a 13-3 victory to consign their opponents to the foot of the table.
Elsewhere, JG Fleming Bowling Club took the title in the Johnstone and District League following a 12- 0 whitewash at the expense of Woodlands.
Second-placed Spateson suffered a final day slip-up with a 8-4 defeat to Spateston, while Johnsone prevailed 8-4 at home to Shanks BC to ensure that they finished in fourth.
And Barrhead- based Arthurlie narrowly avoided relegation with an 8-4 defeat of already relegated Erskine to ensure they finished just a point off second bottom.
