Briggs is also ready to put in a strong performance
Old Course Ranfurly prospect Aidan O’Hagan will be flying the flag for Renfrewshire following his call-up to the national team.
O’Hagan, 14, will represent Scotland at next month’s Home Internationals at Royal Darroch in Aberdeen having been selected in the 11-strong boys team that will take on their English, Irish and Welsh counterparts.
The youngster has been in fine form this year and recently impressed at the Scottish Boys Under -16 tournament in Fortrose.
O’Hagan finished the competition in tied-18th place following rounds of 73, 66, 75 and 74, as Italian golfer Matteo Cristoni took the glory.
Elsewhere, Renfrewshire Golf Union representative Eilidh Briggs has also received a call-up to the national side as she prepares to represent the Scotland women’s team.
The experienced golfer, who plays out of Kilmacolm Golf Club, will be in action at Ballybunion GC in Ireland.
It follows in the footsteps of her call-up to the Ladies Championship.
A Scottish Golf spokesman said: “Scottish Golf has announced the Women, Boys and Girls teams to represent Scotland at this year’s Home Internationals.
“Broomieknowe Golf Club’s Hannah Darling and Castle Park Golf Club’s Connor Wilson, who were this month crowned Xact Scottish Boys and Girls Amateur Champions, earn automatic selection after winning their respective national championships along with West Linton’s Gemma Batty, who was victorious at the Scottish Women’s Amateur Champion at Elie in June.
“The Girls and Ladies Home Internationals both take place at Ballybunion, Ireland, from August 8 to 10, with the Boys event taking place on home soil at Royal Dornoc from August 7 to 9.
“The men’s side will be announced on August 30 ahead of their Championship at Conwy, in Wales, from September 12 to 14.”
The Scotland teams are sponsored by Aberdeen Standard Investments.
