A drug dealer busted with more than £15,000 worth of cocaine is facing a jail stretch.

Connor Storer, 26, was snared with almost 400 grams of the class-A substance, £450 in cash and a set of digital scales, when cops raided his home.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard police acting in an intelligenceled operation turned over his home address in Barrhead after obtaining a search warrant where they found the major stash.

Fiscal depute Pamela Brady said: “Police officers visited the address to execute the search warrant where they found the accused standing outside next to a Vauxhall Corsa motor vehicle.

“His identity was confirmed and he was subject to a search where a bag within his jacket pocket containing white powder weighing 3.1 grams was recovered.

“The motor vehicle was searched and a search was undertaken at his home address. Within the kitchen another bag containing white powder weighing 58.24 grams was recovered.

“Two other bags containing compressed white powder were also recovered. These were weighed and contained 130.75 grams and 190.7 grams.

“All the bags recovered had the accused’s DNA on their knotted areas.

“Officers also recovered £450 in mixed notes and a set of digital scales.”

The fiscal added the drugs found were sent for forensic analysis and tested positive for cocaine.

She added: “The accused was arrested. He stated he was in employment, stated his earnings and said he did not use drugs or alcohol.

“Forensic analysis of the cocaine combined with the Statement of Opinion Unit (STOP) officers put the value at £15,220 if concerned with supply.”

Storer of Dougray Place in the town pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with intention to supply a controlled substance, namely class-A drug cocaine, when he appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court.

Defence agent David Nicolson said: “He recognises how serious this matter is and I would ask that his bail is continued while the court seeks background reports.”

Sheriff Seith Ireland concurred with the lawyer telling the accused: “This is a serious matter given the quantity of drugs involved.

“All disposals including you being sent to prison remain open to the court.”

Storer was released on bail and he will discover his fate when he returns for sentencing on August 20.
