Shame of airport racist yob

-

A yob launched a racist rant at cops at Glasgow Airport.

Vineeta Whyte, 37, lost the plot when officers were sent to investigate a disturbance in the terminal building.

Out- of- control Whyte appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court to plead guilty to charges of making racist remarks, and acting in a racially aggravated way towards police officers on August 2 last year.

Procurator Fiscal Depute Frank Clarke told the court that officers were called because of Whyte’s erratic behaviour at Frankie and Benny’s.

He said: “They approached the accused and noticed she was under the influence of alcohol.

“She began to become aggressive and she said, ‘the only reason you’re arresting me is because I’m Indian’.”

Whyte then called the officers “white pig c***” and was detained and taken to Helen Street Police Office, in Glasgow’s Govan area.

On the way there she continued bawling racial abuse, included phrases such as “f****** p****, n****** and black b*******” - then said she “couldn’t wait for f****** Brexit.”

Sheriff Seith Ireland called for background reports.

He said: “This was a very unsavoury incident, fuelled by alcohol, and you have a similar conviction from Edinburgh Sheriff Court.”

He then placed Whyte, of Edinburgh, on a Community Payback Order (CPO) which will see her supervised by social workers for the 18 months.

He warned her she could be jailed if she breaches the term of her order.
