Shoppers can help St Vincent’s Hospice

-

Shoppers have got the chance to raise money for St Vincent’s Hospice over the next three months.

The Howwood hospice has linked up with the Coop Community Fund to raise vital funding for its community nurse specialist service.

Co- op members can log in to their account and nominate St Vincent’s Hospice as their chosen charity.

Then, whenever they buy a Co-op product or service, St Vincent’s receives a donation.

These range from shopping in Bridge of Weir or Kilbarchan and using Johnstone Co- op Funeralcare, to shopping online for electrical goods, insurance or legal services.

June Burgess, from the hospice’s income generation team said: “I’ve just bought some Coop travel insurance for my holidays. All I had to do is go online and type in my Coop membership number.”

To find your membership number, check your Co-op card or key fob.

The link runs throughout August, September and October.

A St Vincent’s Hospice spokesperson said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to raise vital funding for our community nurse specialist service at St Vincent’s Hospice – without any additional cost to you.

“It’s simple. Every time a Co-op member buys any Co-op product or service, St Vincent’s receives a donation.”
