Gang of teens attack and rob dad and his daughter

- David Campbell

A father and daughter were targeted by a violent mob as they waited for a taxi in Paisley after a night out.

The innocent pair were attacked by a group of five teenagers and robbed in County Square.

The 30-year-old woman and her dad, aged 51, were approached by the gang who asked for a cigarette before pouncing.

Things quickly turned nasty when one of the group tried to wrestle the woman’s handbag from her.

The frightened woman bravely fought to keep hold

of the bag but was dragged to the ground by the hair as other teens joined the attack.

She was kicked and punched as she desperately held onto the bag before the feral crew snatched it away.

Her helpless father was also assaulted during the shocking town centre incident, which happened at 2.10am on Saturday.

The victims were both taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, for treatment for bruising and were later released.
