Youngsters will carve out a career in the construction industry
Six new apprentices have started their careers with construction firm Clark Contracts.
Following on from Clark Contracts’ third annual careers evenings held in Paisley and Edinburgh in March, more than140 applications were received.
As a result, 53 people were invited to attend an assessment day with the 25 highest scoring individuals asked to return for final stage interviews.
The six successful apprentices are spending four weeks working in various departments within Clark Contracts’ offices in Paisley and Edinburgh.
They will then start work on site and study at either West College Scotland, Glasgow Clyde College or Edinburgh College.
The five joinery and one painting and decorating apprentice will join the contractor’s award winning academy, which already features 20 trade apprentices and over 30 others across the business studying towards formal qualifications.
