-

St Mirren have snapped up the loan signing of Birmingham City striker Nicolai BrockMadsen until January.

The Buddies also have the option to extend the deal until the end of the season as boss Alan Stubbs aims to bolster his strike force.

The forward, who will wear the number nine jersey, joined Birmingham from Danish club Randers FC in 2015 for a fee in the region of £500,000 but has struggled to make an impact in the first team.

Loan spells at PEC Zwolle and Cracovia failed to ignited his St Andrew’s career upon his return but he reckons playing in Paisley could push him on.

Brock-Madsen said:“I’m happy to be here. I am looking forward to getting started after having a good day talking to my teammates and the manager.

“Everything has been really positive. To be honest I didn’t know what to expect but everything is really nice.

“I have been told that the atmosphere can be really good with the fans close to the pitch.

“When I talked with the club he gave me a good feeling about the project, and I know the club has a great history.”
