Kibble does so much for youngsters
As parliament is in recess at the moment, I am based in the constituency on a full-time basis.
This not only allows me to spend more time with my family, but gives me with the opportunity to be out and about in Paisley and Renfrewshire North, meeting businesses and organisation and speaking directly with local people.
Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Jim Gillespie, the chief executive of Kibble .
Everyone in Renfrewshire is aware, and very proud, of the fantastic work that Kibble do in the community.
They are one of the country’s leading charities and perform inspirational and important work to help Scotland’s young people.
It has been making a real difference to the lives of Scotland’s most vulnerable young people for 178 years.
They currently provide residential services, secure educational and career opportunities, and ensure those in their care have the emotional support that they need.
The staff at Kibble go above and beyond to help young people who are at risk to achieve their full potential.
It was great to hear from Jim about the exciting plans that they have in place.
With that ambition and level of commitment, I’m convinced that the Kibble will still be providing high-quality care to Scotland’s young people in another 178 years.
