IT’S BEEN NINE MONTHS SINCE MISSING PATTIATTI WAS LAST SEEN Distraught brother calls on cops to catch killer

Our family needs closure, says Stephen

- David Campbell

The desperate brother of missing Paisley mum Patti Henry hopes detectives are closing in on a suspect over her disappearance.

Stephen Henry, 44, fears his sister has been murdered and is demanding cops act to snare her killer nine months after she was last seen alive.

The 46-year-old vanished on November 13, just weeks after moving from Glenburn to Girvan, prompting a massive police operation to trace her.

Distraught Stephen hopes the family will get closure soon.

He told the Paisley Daily Express: “We just want whoever did this to be captured. It’s been a while now. I just hope the police are building a case.

“We just want her home, so this all ends.

“I know the police are doing everything they can now so, fingers crossed, they come up with something.”

Major Investigation Team cops renewed their public appeal for information last week and hinted they now fear Patti “may have come to harm”.

They also revealed they are searching for a white Transit-style van seen in Glenburn and Girvan just two days after the last sighting of Patti.

Detective Inspector Suzanne Chow said: “The last independent sighting of Patricia was Monday, November 13, last year.

“One line of enquiry that I now must consider is the possibility that Patricia may have come to some harm. It’s important that we keep an open mind to all lines of enquiry, but the distinct lack of information about Patricia is concerning.

“We cannot rule anything out at this point and officers will continue to follow up enquiries about where Patricia has been.

“I am also asking if anyone remembers seeing a white van travelling between Glenburn in Paisley and Girvan in South Ayrshire and in the area of Kirkwood Place in Girvan on November 15 and 16, and noted anything suspicious, to get in touch with Police Scotland.”

Hundreds of people have been spoken to during the lengthy investigation, with cops travelling on trains and buses between Paisley and Girvan to try to jog people’s memory.

It also emerged that Coastguard teams had also been used in the search. Specialist search teams have been scouring a property in Burnfoot Crescent, Glenburn belonging to a male friend of Patti’s.

Patti is described as 5ft 10ins in height, of slim build and with shoulderlength hair, which is usually tied back.

She has a tattoo of a red rose and green stem, with a cloud in the background, and the name ‘ Patti’ on her right arm and a tattoo of a dolphin on her hip.

She usually wears a denim jacket.

Anyone with any information, should either call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
