Talk on danger of plastic
The effect of discarded plastics on the environment will be highlighted during an illustrated talk.
The Paisley Natural History Society is hosting the event to kick off its autumn programme.
Dr Brian Quinn, expert in ecotoxicology at the University of the West of Scotland, will lead the discussion.
The seminar is one of a series celebrating the study of natural history in Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
The natural history department of Paisley Museum works with the group to discuss conservation of wildlife and habitats.
Regular meetings are held during the winter months.
They cover a variety of topics, from butterflies and birds to fungi and fossils.
Outings are organised during the summer months, visiting sites throughout Scotland.
Dr Quinn will lead the discussion at the Wynd Centre, School Wynd, on Thursday at 7.30pm.
Paisley Natural History Society was formed in the early 1970s.
