New flights mean airport jobs boost

More than 150 jobs are up for grabs at Glasgow Airport as Jet2.com and Jet2holida­ys launch two new destinatio­ns.

The company is set to start flying to Bourgas in Bulgaria and Izmir in Turkey and has launched its biggest-ever recruitmen­t drive at the airport.

It is holding a jobs roadshow at the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport on Wednesday, September 12 with five sessions throughout the day at 10.15am, 11.45am, 1.15pm, 2.45pm and 4.15pm.

The company said it had a bumper summer this year with its biggest ever programme of flights and holidays and will increase capacity at Glasgow Airport by more than 10 per cent for next summer.
