Help inspire a youngster

-

A call has gone out for people to get involved with an innovative youth project in Paisley.

Create Paisley was established in 2009 and aims to transform young people’s lives through creativity, community, confidence and finding their voice.

The organisation is founded on a Christian ethos and although the events and activities are not evangelistic, they are underpinned by God’s values.

Over the last 12 months, Create has undergone a strategic review, with a three- year business plan now in place, and is looking to recruit new trustees to join the board.

David McGregor, from Create Paisley, said: “We are looking for individuals who have an interest in enriching the lives of young people in Paisley through partnering in our vision and values and offering their skills and experience to help the organisation grow and develop.”

The group is hoping to attract people with skills in finance and governance, fundraising, social enterprise, legal, and policy and procedures.

The positions are voluntary and board members are expected to spend around four hours per month in their role.

Meetings are held every two months, usually on a Tuesday evening.
