George is on a mission to entertain Glasgow

- One you won’t want to miss

George Ezra sounds like the kind of guy you’d really like to spend your gap year with.

His tunes are stuffed with lyrics about drinking in the sun, frolicking on beaches and bouncing from bar to bar in far flung cities.

The 2014 smash hit Barcelona was even named after the city he never made it to after having too much of a good time with three young Swedish women while interrailing.

The 25-year-old lad from Hertfordshire has successfully cashed in on our obsession with sunshine and holidays – so it’s no wonder his happy hit Shotgun was stuck in the charts (and our heads) all summer long.

His second album Staying at Tamara’s picks up where his 2014 debut left off – with more globetrotting tales of love and wanderlust.

But now he’s taking a break from thinking about Budapest and Barcelona – and has his heart set on coming to Glasgow.

The megastar sold out his arena tour in a mere 30 minutes – including two nights in the Barrowlands in November.

Luckily, George has turned down the chance to interrail with Swedes again in order to extend his tour well into spring.

Come 2019 he will play at ten arenas across the UK, including Glasgow.

The crooner will bring his happygo-lucky tunes to Scotland and perform at the SSE Hydro on March 15.

Fans can expect to hear muchloved hits Paradise, Beautiful Dream and Getaway among old favourites.

He is officially the biggest selling artist of the year so far and after a string of epic festival performances, he’s proved he isn’t one to miss live.

The show starts at 6.30pm and tickets are available on Ticketmaster now.
