Massive shakeup of boundaries is bad news for Renfrewshire
Earlier this week, the Boundary Commission published its plan for new Westminster constituencies.
This is the biggest shakeup of electoral boundaries in a century and the changes will cut the number of constituencies sending representatives to the House of Commons from 650 to 600 and reshape the size and composition of others.

This week in Parliament, the Counter-Terrorism and Border Security Bill returned to the House for its remaining stages.
The bill follows the Government’s reviews of its counter-terrorism strategy and of counter-terrorism legislation. It’s of utmost importance Langbank being thrown in with Millport.

It also ensures that English MPs’ already overwhelming voting power in the House of Commons rises from 82 per cent to 83.5 per cent of any potential vote.
