It’s a cracking line up at Callum’s Cavern tomorrow night.

It’s the second night of Vague Reality’s three-date tour and they are donating all the profit to SAMH. The four-piece alt-rock band from Glasgow mix fast punk rhythms with hard rock melodies and riffs.

Also performing is Deter, a dreamy five-piece from Glasgow and Xiles, a modern day rock band fused with heavy metal. Plus Shattered Glass, Forglow and Brett Gibson from Kilmacolm from 8pm.

It’s Britpop night at The Bungalow tonight. M65 will be onstage to bring you classic tunes from the Mod and Britpop Scene from the 60s through to the noughties and to the present day. M65 recently were one of the headlining bands to play at the Millport Scooter Rally and went down a storm. The gig starts at 8pm and it is free entry.

Tomorrow night The Bungalow has the wonderful Dopesickfl­y playing with their blend of alternativ­e funk, rock hybrid with a hip-hop twist.Performing with confidence and power, they’re a cheerful bunch. The band’s distinctiv­e sound and look is a result of four unique musicians coming together to create an extraordin­ary fusion. It is a free gig and starts at 8pm. Up and coming band from Glasgow New Vice will be providing support.

Second Hand News starts a full weekend of live action at The Cave tonight from 9pm. Tomorrow in the early slot at 6pm it is Moonshine Mojo and later on at 9pm The Signs will be playing for you until late.

On Sunday the busy weekend is all wrapped up nicely by Lonehead from 6pm.

The Dirty Jewels are on tonight at The Old Swan from 8pm then in The Shoppers Slot from 4pm tomorrow it’s Memphis. The Casual Swans are back on Monday at 3pm and The Pre Fab Sprouts will be playing at 6pm on Wednesday. Graceland is at The Anchor on Sunday at 5pm.

Open mic nights next week are: Tonight with Stevie Johnstone at Hamishes’ Hoose from 8pm, Sunday at The Bungalow with Cat Caldwell from 8pm. Monday 8pm at The Abbey Bar hosted by Dunky Hunter, Andy Lindsey is at The Anchor on Tuesday from 8pm, also on Tuesday there is a new open mic session started at The Gantry with the talented Cat Caldwell as your host. On Wednesday Johnny Barr is the host for Burger and Keg 8pm. Also on Wednesday Andy Lindsay is at The Patter Bar from 8pm. Thursday it is Manhattan’s, also at 8pm. Support your local venues and keep music live.
