Be Here Now for Paisley’s first all day Indie festival

-

There’s lots going on this weekend starting with Paisley’s first All Day Indie Festival.

Be Here Now is an NNE promotion and they have a cracking line up with a full day and night of iconic indie anthems at Paisley Town Hall.

Ocean Colour Scheme will be recreate the classic sounds of Ocean Colour Scene, delivering a true “close your eyes and it could be the real thing” experience.

Loaded are also on stage with the hottest Primal Scream tribute. They will deliver all the band’s hits with a big band sound.

Meanwhile the Muldoons are another band that are not to be missed. The Paisley legends developed their much loved guitar- based songs on the indie scene through the 1990s and reformed last year.

Also headlining are God Like Genius – the UK’s leading tribute to Noel Gallagher.

Appy Mundays – reliving the hits of Manchester’s number one baggy band the Happy Mondays and the Complete Stone Roses – one of the UK’s most well-known tribute bands are also appearing.

It all starts at 3pm. Tickets are £25 but they are few and far between, so check online first.

The aftershow party is at The Bungalow.

The Cave’s Four in a Row this weekend is Pheonix Gene at 9pm tonight, tomorrow in the early slot at 6pm it is Fifth Element followed by Blind Panik at 9pm and on Sunday the popular Black Triangles are back for more Cave nonsense at 6pm.

And finally it is a great big welcome back from me for The Republic of Soul who are playing once again at Hamishes’ Hoose after a long absence.

The soul nights are legendary and are always great nights. This time the band are starting later at 10pm, taking you up to finishing time.

They play soul classics from all the greats including Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Sam and Dave and some more contemporary numbers from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Paul Weller. They are a big band with a big sound, not to be missed.
