Concerns grow for George’s safety
Police officers are appealing for help to trace a man who headed out to the shops and never came back.
George Brown 62, was last seen leaving his home address in Castle Terrace, in Bridge of Weir, around 10am on Thursday, October 4.
He had told his wife he was going to the shop, however did not return.
George is described as 6ft, bald with grey hair at the sides, clean shaven, of medium build and wearing a black bomber style jacket, jeans and Nike trainers.
Constable Caroline Harrod, from Renfrew Police Station, says his family are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and asked anyone who may have seen him to get in touch.
She said: “George’s family are very worried about him and enquiries are ongoing to find him.
“George has gone missing before and normally travels by bus using his bus card.
“He has previously travelled to areas including Inverary, Oban and Glasgow.
“I would appeal to anyone who recognises George, or has any information regarding his whereabouts, to come forward.
“I would also ask George directly to please get in touch with someone to let us know that he is ok.
“Anyone with information can contact Renfrew Police Station via 101.”
