Ben: Let’s hit the road and keep up the good work at Helensburgh

-

Paisley Rugby Club skipper Ben Frost has urged the Buddies to continue their winning ways when they take on Helensburgh this Saturday.

The Anchor side make the relatively short trip over the Erskine Bridge and down the coast in the hope of continuing on from where they left off last weekend.

Frost’s side’s win against Cumbernauld ended a disappointing run of results which had seen them falter in the opening weeks of the season.

And with a win, Paisley could jump ahead of recently relegated ‘Burgh in the Tennents West Division Two standings.

Frost said: “It was great to get the win last weekend and our focus swiftly changed to the Helensburgh game.

“We are working week to week to try and put together a bit of form and the boys have been working really hard in training to turn that into a reality.

“There is definitely more of a competitive edge at each session and it showed on the park last weekend.

“Again, it’s great to see us being able to put out two teams on a Saturday and hopefully the Seconds can get another win.”

The club’s second XV is also in action this weekend.

The Anchor is the venue for their game against Dalziel. Unbeaten so far this season, the second XV will be looking to continue this run of results and challenge for league glory.
