Village has got pedal power

-

Neilston became Scotland’s first cycle-friendly community after Neilston Development Trust was awarded the accreditation in October 2015 by Cycle Scotland.

And now people are being urged to go along to The Bank Bike Hub, in Main Street, where they can have their fear of the road sorted and their buckled spokes fixed, as well as get a gentle introduction by cycling.

And if you don’t have a bike, you can hire one and give it a go under the helpful eye of trainers.

There is a team volunteer cycle leaders ready to share their experience and love of cycling.

The Bank Bike Hub Activities and Services run evert Saturday and Monday from 10am to noon, and trained volunteer mechanics will carry out small repairs and full bike service at reasonable prices. Booking is required.

Six bikes for adults and children are available for hire with all the kit.

The Bank Bike Hub has excellent bike parking, and a public repair station and pump.
