Fayre is set to be a Christmas cracker

-

If you are on the lookout for unique gifts for Christmas, then a visit to Erskine’s Christmas Cracker Fayre should be on your to-do list.

Veterans’ charity Erskine has held the festive shopping event for more than 30 years, and this has received wonderful support from ladies and gentlemen who like to shop, enjoy afternoon tea, and then perhaps shop some more.

There will be more than 50 individual stalls to browse, with gifts including arts and crafts, bags and scarves, Christmas decorations and cards, jewellery, toys, books, food and drink and many unique items not available on the high street.

The two-day event will take place this year at the Glynhill Hotel in Renfrew on Thursday 8 and Friday, November 9. Opening at noon on the Thursday, there is late night shopping till 8pm, with doors opening on the Friday from 10am till 4pm.

Entry is £5 as a suggested donation to Erskine with all money raised going towards the care of the charity’s veterans. Children get in free.

Sara Bannerman, head of fundraising at Erskine said: “We are so grateful for the fantastic support we receive at The Christmas Cracker Fayre every year, from the people who attend and the stallholders.

“We have many regular supporters who come every year and are always keen to know the date for their diary. There is a lovely festive atmosphere at Cracker and we hope it will be as busy this year as it has always been in previous years.”
