Building works could soon be going on at various homes and businesses in Renfrewshire.

Planning permission must be granted from council chiefs before improvements can go ahead.

Recent applications made to the local authority include:

 Alterations to Shopfront at Unit A, 97 Causeyside Street, Paisley

 Reduce crown of one oak tree at a site on the southwestern boundary of 8 Woodside, Houston

 Erection of three no substation buildings and associated ancillary works at Laighpark Water Treatment Works, Abercorn Street, Paisley

 Su b - d i v i s i o n o f a warehouse into five individual units and external alterations to elevations and roof at 12 Sandyford Road, Paisley

 Fe l l i n g o f o n e horsechestnut tree at Paddockcraig, Formakin Estate, Houston Road, Bishopton

 Felling of one beech and one sycamore, pruning of four lime, pruning of one beech and crown reduction of two lime trees at Brabloch Park, Paisley

 Remove one sycamore tree and crown reduce two cherry trees at 10 Ewing Street, Kilbarchan

 Remove one sycamore tree at 41 Shuttle Street, Kilbarchan
