Photo plea after man is assaulted in Paisley bar
Detectives have released the image of a man they want to talk to over a brutal Paisley pub attack.
A 27-year-old man suffered significant injuries after he was assaulted in O’Connors in St James’ Street.
Police are now appealing for help to identify a man they think could assist with their investigation into the August 14 incident.
The violent outburst, which happened around 10.40pm, left the victim in hospital the night of Celtic’s match with AEK Athens.
The man police want to speak to is described as white with a heavy build, aged between 35 and 40, bald and wearing a green top and blue jeans.
Detective Constable Dass, from Paisley CID, said:“The pub would have been busy with people watching the Champions League qualifier between AEK Athens and Celtic at the time of the incident and I am appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“If you recognise the man in the image, or if you are the man in the image, please get in touch as it is essential that we speak to him as part of our enquiries. Anyone with information about the assault, or any information that will assist police can contact Paisley CID via 101.
“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
