Building works could soon be going on at various homes and businesses in Renfrewshire.

Planning permission must be granted from council chiefs before improvements can go ahead.

Recent applications made to the local authority include:

 Erection of detached dwellinghouse at Foremount House, Easwald Bank, Kilbarchan

 Display of internally illuminated totem sign at 111 Ferguslie, Paisley

 Installation of a roller shutter at Unit A, 44 Graham Street, Johnstone

 Erection of front porch and single-storey extension to the rear of 3 Merlin Way, Paisley

 Erection of detached dwellinghouse at Flat 1/1, 24 Thornly ParkAvenue, Paisley

 Installation of an access ramp to the rear of primary school at Main Building, Inchinnan Primary School, Old Greenock Road, Inchinnan

 Display of an externally lit fascia sign at 33 Hairst Street, Renfrew

 Formation of waste transfer station area, with associated hardstanding, security fencing and lighting at 5 Newmains Avenue, Inchinnan

 Fell one beech tree (in retrospect) at Normandy Hotel, Inchinnan Road, Renfrew

 Erection of a porch to front of 1 Gala Avenue, Renfrew

 Erection of a single-storey extension to the rear of 25 Kinloch Road, Renfrew

 Display of one internally illuminated ATM fascia at 45 Hazel Avenue, Johnstone
