Festive fundraiser

-

Quarriers is getting ready for its 25th Noel Lunch fundraiser.

The event has become a staple in the festive calendar and this year will raise money for the charity’s services that tackle children’s mental health and wellbeing.

And back by popular demand is comedian Fred MacAulay who will entertain guests as well as host an auction which will be packed full of prizes.

Held at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Friday, December 7, guests will enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival, a three course meal, as well as special entertainment including magician Billy Reid, who will dazzle guests with his magic tricks.

This year, money raised at the event will support the work of Quarriers’ Time to Talk service which provides specialist mental health support for primary school-aged children.

Its long-term aim is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and support families and teachers to feel confident in responding to the needs of children dealing with mental health issues.

Alice Harper, chief executive for the Bridge of Weir based charity, said:“This really will be a special year as we mark the event’s quarter century.

“For anyone who hasn’t already got their tickets I urge you to get them as it is always such a memorable day.“

Tickets for this year’s Noel Lunch are on sale now and priced at £50 per person.
