First winner strikes gold at shopping mall
The first winner of the Paisley First Christmas Golden Tickets has been revealed.
Lucky Karen O’Neill, from Paisley, has won a fantastic £500 of town centre gift vouchers, just in time to do her Christmas shopping.
Customers in participating outlets are given a golden ticket with their receipt. To take part in the draw, you complete the ticket with your contact details and post it in one of the golden mailboxes in the Paisley Centre and Piazza Shopping Centre.
Karen was the first winner drawn, with another three to be picked in the weeks before Christmas.
Each winner gets to choose where they spend their vouchers.
Graeme McGowan, chair of business organisation Paisley First, which organises the competition, handed over the £500 voucher to Karen.
He said:“This follows the success of our previous Golden Ticket Competitions at Easter and during our Jurassic Bricks adventure in the summer.
“Our winners were able to spend their vouchers in a wide variety of Paisley businesses, including Dooley’s Cycles, Pendulum, Burger & Keg, White Cart Company, The Lane, Marks and Spencer, JD Sports and Genova to name but a few.
“We are encouraging people to take a fresh look at all Paisley has to offer.
“When you shop and socialise locally, you are contributing to the local community – great independent shops, great places to eat, lots of great events plus beautiful, historic buildings.”
