Kids are as safe as houses
Kids at Williamsburgh Primary School in Paisley have been given a health and safety lesson by housebuilder Taylor Wimpey.
Children have been warned of the dangers of playing near construction sites as construction of new homes at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s local Hawkhead Gardens, off Hawkhead Road, gets underway.
Being proactive with local schools has proven to be an effective deterrent in the past as Brian Henderson, production director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland , explained:“Health and safety in and around our construction areas is of vital importance to Taylor Wimpey.
“Taking this type of proactive approach with local schools allows us to reinforce just how important it is for children to stay away from building sites.
“It gives us the chance to remind the children that building sites are not playgrounds.”
Nova Scott, headteacher at Williamsburgh Primary School , added:“I was delighted to welcome the team from Taylor Wimpey into our school to highlight the dangers associated with children playing near any construction site.
“It was the ideal opportunity for them to reinforce their safety message ahead of the school Christmas holidays when many of our pupils will be enjoying their time away from the classroom.
“It’s great that Taylor Wimpey understands the importance of our children’s safety, and have created such an interactive and proactive approach to appeal to our pupils.”
