The Hersham Boys are in town

Tonight The Bungalow is sold out and no wonder – Sham 69 are in town.

English punk rockers Sham

69 have been flying the flag for punk music since they formed in Hersham in 1975.

The band was one of the most successful punk bands in the United Kingdom, achieving five Top 20 singles. The original unit broke up in 1979, with frontman Jimmy Pursey moving on to pursue a solo career. But now they are back.

They will be pumping out iconic songs such as Angles with Dirty Faces, Hersham Boys, Hurry up Harry and many more from their repertoire going back to the late 70s. The iconic punk band is revered all over the world.

Boab Williamson, of Ruthless Artists, said: “We were delighted to secure this deal as they are personal favourites of many of The Bungalow regulars and fit in to The Bungalow’s legendary punk history.”

As mentioned, the gig is sold out but it may be worth it to go along to the venue and see if there is a chance of getting some hand-backs. It starts at 8pm.

NNE are putting on another tribute night to follow on from last week’s sold out opening night.

The Marley Experience, which has the reputation as being the top tribute to the late great king of reggae music, the legendary Bob Marley, will be onstage tomorrow night. The band will be performing live the hits, classics and world-renowned singalongs like One Love, Three Little Birds, I Shot The Sheriff, Is This Love and No Woman No Cry.

This is a brilliant show celebratin­g the life and music of the incomparab­le Bob Marley and The Wailers. Tickets are £10 and the gig starts at 8pm.

Playing at The Old Swan Inn tonight is Midnight Moses from 8pm and tomorrow in the Shopper’s Slot from 4pm they have Satellite 10.

The Casual Swans are back doing their usual regular Monday malarkey stuff at 3pm and on Wednesday Jim Keilt is back with his Jam Session which starts at 7pm.

Tomorrow night The Bankhouse welcomes back the longest running resident band ever in Paisley.

Scooby Snax are a great fun band and some say they are the most original and entertaini­ng two piece band in Scotland. They have built a reputation through having a great repertoire, accurate versions, and outstandin­g musiciansh­ip. They kick off at 9pm. The Anchor have FreeSpeech in on Sunday at 4pm.

Tonight The Cave has another sold out show .

This time it is Tony Kay who has an amazing Gary Barlow tribute act. Tony originally from Birmingham and now lives in Langbank has appeared all over the UK and abroad. He realised his dream recently, when he sang on stage with the man himself, at his concert in the Perth.Trunk Monkey are in the early slot tomorrow night from 6pm followed by Wreckless at 9pm. Nightfly finishes off The Cave’s busy weekend at 6pm on Sunday.

Open mic nights next week start on Monday at 8pm at The Abbey Bar hosted by Dunky Hunter.

Cat Caldwell is at The Bungalow on Sunday from 8pm and The Gantry also runs at 8pm. Andy Lindsey is at The Anchor on Tuesday from 8pm and Wednesday at the same time at The Patter Bar. Wednesday features Johnny Barr at Burger and Keg at 8.30pm, and Manhattan’s is Thursday from 8pm.
