Natural history meeting
Make a date for the next meeting of the Paisley Natural History Society.
The effects of a plan to create a new port on the Ayrshire coast will have on sea mammals will be discussed at the event.
The society is continuing its winter programme with an illustrated talk by David Nairn, from the Clyde Porpoise group, on Thursday, at 7.30pm in the Wynd Centre, School Wynd, Paisley.
The free event is open to everyone and the talk will concentrate on cetaceans in the Upper Clyde and the harbour porpoise in particular.
There is controversy over a recent planning application to create a decommissioning port at Hunterston terminal, near Largs and the noise implications of pile driving on marine mammals.
