We’re lovin’ being in love
A loved-up husband and wife are revelling in married life having wed on Valentine’s Day.
Renfrew couple Lindsay Millar, 42, and William Benson, 53, chose to have their special day on February 14, given the romance of the date, with a wedding at the Paisley Registry Office before moving to Gabriels restaurant on Gauze Street to continue the celebrations with friends and family.
Bride Lindsay told the Paisley Daily Express everyone involved had a fantastic time, in spite of a small mishap before the wedding.
She said: “It was a great day, although I was 20 minutes late because the taxis went to the wrong hotel to pick me and the bridesmaids up. They were meant to get us at the Premier Inn at Glasgow Airport but they sent them to the Premier Inn at the Phoenix Retail Park. I was a bit nervous thinking ‘oh, no, I’m getting married in 20 minutes, they’ll need to hurry up.’
“Apa r t f rom that, everything else went to plan. The weather was absolutely beautiful.All the guests loved it, everybody said they had a great day.”
Lindsay also revealed she and new husband William are planning to celebrate their marriage later this summer by taking a trip to Turkey.
She added: “We went to Newcastle for a long weekend, and then we’re going to do our honeymoon in August.”
