Sing at the top of your voice

-

A great cause is to benefit from a concert for all the family.

Lochwinnoch Choral Society Choir will Sing for St Vincent’s in the village’s Calder Church in an event that aims to get as many people as possible together to sing along and raise money for a great cause.

This is a chance to join the members of the choir and people from all across the community for a sing-along with the whole family, with tea and coffee also provided at this Lochwinnoch Arts Festival event.

One of the driving forces behind the concert is Morag Thow.

She said: “Following on from the success of last year’s event, we decided to once again do something special to support St Vincent’s Hospice, which means a lot to so many of us in Lochwinnoch.

“I have been involved with the hospice for the last four years, taking an exercise class for the day hospice.

“I see what a difference the hospice makes to patients, families and friends of people who need their support.

“Without the money from the charity shops, this fantastic work could not continue.”

St Vincent’s Hospice, which is located in Howwood, is a specialist provider of palliative and in-house care for people and families all across Renfrewshire who are impacted by life-limiting conditions.

Morag added: “Music is a universal language and a fantastic way of bringing people together. So why not come and join us on Monday, March 18?

“Sing some songs, grab a cuppa, meet new people and raise funds to support a great cause.”

The event is on Monday, March 18, at 7.30pm. Donations will be welcome on the night.
