Police appeal to trace train creep

-

British Transport Police officers are appealing for information following a report of indecent exposure on board a train travelling between Hawkhead station and Glasgow.

The incident happened at 10.05pm on Thursday February 7.

A man is a reported to have boarded a train at Hawkhead station in Paisley.

He sat opposite the victim then exposed himself before leaving the train at Glasgow Central station.

The suspect is described as 5ft 9in, aged in his early twenties and with short, dirty blonde hair.

He is reported to have been wearing a green jacket with a red hooded top underneath and what appeared to be jogging bottoms. He wore distinctive trainers; one blue and one orange.

Anyone who knows the suspect, or witnessed the incident, is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40. The Rotary Club of Paisley is always willing to help others reach their goals.

And that was the case when the club’s president Scott Fleming presented Gayle Brannigan of the St Mirren FC Community Trust with a cheque for £300.

The money will be split between its Men’s Shed, Future Entrepreneurship education and the Fit Fans programmes.

The trust was relaunched in 2018, and to complement the youth development programmes currently being delivered at the club’s boys and men’s academy at Ralston, the St Mirren Community Trust says it has a long-term vision to create a legacy facility.

This would start with a girls and women’s football academy and then progress to a multi sports-hub based close to the St Mirren stadium.
