Here’s how you can be the latest InCubee

Ta l e nted Buddies looking to expand their creative businesses can be boosted by the latest InCube programme.

If you work in the creative retail, fashion, textiles, jewellery, crafts or makers sectors – and want to expand your business – now could be the right time to become part of the Invest in Renfrewshi­re Incubator Hub.

Known as InCube, the scheme is an opportunit­y to launch or grow a creative business with funding and support from industry specialist­s and advisors.

Successful applicants to the scheme will get a package of support for up to nine months.

This will include a free office and meeting space in modern and fully equipped premises in Paisley town centre, with free IT tools, video conferenci­ng and WiFi.

There will also be access to funding, advisory support on e- commerce, branding, websites and social media.

A range of workshops on the “how to” aspects of making your business successful will be available too.

Bosses say the InCube programme is tailored to the needs of emerging creative retail businesses.

Successful applicants, known as InCubees, will attend the core programme for up to two days a week, with hot desks and business developmen­t space being available a further three days per week on an optional and pre-bookable basis.

InCubees will also have the opportunit­y to sell their products from the InCube shop.

Interested parties must apply by Monday, August 12.

InCube applicatio­ns are open to individual­s and businesses that are based in Renfrewshi­re or considerin­g setting up, and must commit to attending the core programme of approximat­ely two days per week.

Applicatio­ns are open to those creative businesses serving a niche market which will not adversely affect other retailers in the area.

Businesses in the following sectors are not eligible to apply: the sex industry, politics, religion, nude or semi nude modelling or photograph­y, gambling, multi level marketing/ pyramid selling.

Sole t ra d e r s, social enterprise­s, partnershi­ps, limited liability partnershi­ps and limited companies are all eligible.
