Get voting to boost Renfrewshire charity by £10k
Renfrewshire charity Dates- nMates is urging people to vote for them.
The exciting project is competing for the title of the National Lottery’s Best Community and Charity project.
It is one of 40 projects battling it out in this year’s awards which celebrate the inspirational people and projects who do extraordinary things with the help of National Lottery funding.
The group is a dating and friendship agency run by and for adults with learning disabilities that is relieving loneliness across Renfrewshire.
The aim is to provide opportunities for its members to meet new people, try new things and develop their social skills, confidence and independence.
Voting closes at midnight on Wednesday and winners will be revealed in the next few weeks.
Jonathan Tuchner, from the 25th Birthday National Lottery Awards, said: “National Lottery players should be extremely proud to have supported the fantastic work these projects deliver in their communities.
“The teams behind all our finalists are wonderful ambassadors for their organisations and they do so much to improve and enhance the lives of so many. In many ways, they are all winners but only the projects with most votes can get their hands on a 25th Birthday National Lottery award.
“Please support your favourite by voting for them as soon as possible – it could make a real difference to your chosen project.”
The project with the most votes will be crowned the winner and receive a £ 10,000 cash prize to spend on their project.
